Entry:    chiffonnier (adj.)

In context:  “…the guy was to say the least nonplussed to wake up and see high-filter flashlights crisscrossing over the unlit bedroom walls and bureau and teak chiffonnier…”

Definition:  A piece of furniture, consisting of a small cupboard with the top made so as to form a sideboard.

Other:    I’m going to just come and call this a pseudo-SNOOT word.  Sure, you can call it a chiffonnier, but that’s sounds like you’re trying too hard, rather than flexing your lexical muscle in any meaningful way.

SNOOT score:   1
