Definition:  A state or condition marked by feelings of unease or (mental) discomfort (see quots.).  

Other:    Etymology:  < Greek δυσϕορία malaise, discomfort, < δύσϕορος hard to bear, < δυσ- dys- prefix + ϕέρειν to bear.  

As with reading The Pale King, I always feel a little uneasy when I read of depression, unhappiness, and trauma in DFW.
