Entry: bolections (n.)
In context: “…your disk
of white light trembling like the moon on water as it players over the
identical bureaus, the recessions of closet and room’s front door, door’s frame’s
bolections…”
Definition: A term applied to mouldings which project before
the face of the work which they decorate, as a raised moulding round a panel.
Other: Let’s do a bit more Scrabble talk. If you take the letters in BOLECTION and add
three more letters, of any sort, you can form two different words, both pretty
neat: GEOBOTANICAL and PALEOBOTANIC.
